Side Note:  I asked Cat to tell me the back story of why she went to see the doctor about her mole.  Last week I called the mission office to ask when the pathology report would be done and they said Monday, the 24 but from her email it sounds like it's going to be another week.  URRGGG not a happy mother right now!

Story time about the mole:

So I was in the shower one day shaving my arm pit and had a mole there. It’s been there for years but I just looked at it and thought ya know it has a bump its dark and I kinda feel it’s bigger than it was like 4 years ago. I told sister McCleary and she suggested I get it checked out. So I went to Doctor Trjo's house and he just looked at it. He said that it could be cancerous but doesn’t think it could be much he said lets remove it just in case and take a look. So I told the office what he said and they gave me the OK to get it removed. So in I went to get it removed last Friday and he did have to cut a hole and do 4 stitches. I couldn’t shave, or wash my arm pit for 10 days. Such a pain. It did hurt the first week and was hard to use my right arm. But I managed and was fine. I just now am half man because I have a hairy arm pit. Don’t worry I will shave it now since I can. But the doc says it will be another week till they find out if it was anything to worry about so I will keep you posted and if I find out before Monday then I will have the office call you. I have a cool scar though and I must say it’s not as big as I hoped for but hey I got my first surgery scar! Pretty big deal here for me!

Anyways! Life here in K falls in cold. It snowed Friday and Saturday! Crazy stuff! Now I can say I have lived in snow. It has been too icy so I am good driving but if it gets bad sister Stover is so driving since she is from Utah! Besides that though overall the work is moving quick! We got 5 people on date for baptism and had 7 gators at church Sunday! It was a record and such a tender mercy knowing these people are coming closer to Christ. I love them all and love this area. So there is a few wards that don’t have sisters and Sister Stover and I apparently have been adopted by 5th ward and the Spanish branch. They are such cute wards and have been begging for sisters. So since they really like us they invited us to Mexican parties and members from 5th ward come out to lessons with us just because we are teaching someone in their boundaries. Long story but they are all awesome!

I love working with Sister Stover, she is my best friend. We can talk about anything and work so well together. She has been out just as long as me and we just are having a blast! We love it! I have served around her in different areas but it’s awesome now we are comps. We are doing 6 months to sexy together and working hard core to lose weight and eat healthy! WE WILL DO IT!

Anyways, That is life here. Nothing else is too crazy! We love it though I love my comp and the people we teach it is great! :)

Okay time for the big stuff this week....

So we had a big situation happen and i had to be companions with another sister for the week and sister M had to be her comps comp for the week. So we sadly were separated but we got together a lot during the week with the sisters and it all worked out. A total miracle happened and a whole family of 4 accepted to be baptized and we are super pumped about them. The mom met with the elders in California and then moved her to K falls. She saw the sisters on the street one day and asked them to teach her since she missed the feeling of when the elders would come visit. So ever since we have been teaching her and recently she has been so impressed with the church and is in tune with the spirit and just wants to be a part of this family. Its way awesome and the ward is great with friending her. She came to church for the first time in K falls and it was a miracle for sister McCleary due to her being transferred today. So it was a good miracle to leave with.

So yes sister Mccleary is transferred to COOS BAY!! THATS WHERE I STARTED MY MISSION! She will love it there! I am companions with sister Stover. So I knew her in Coos bay and then i followed her to Santa Clara and spent a lot of time with her there. and now she is coming to k falls and we will be companions! IT will be awesome!

So rewinding to Friday at 820 am...

I got a mole removed from my arm pit... So I saw a doctor about it and he said it could be cancerous don’t panic and he said he would like to remove it just in case and do a biopsy to it. So Friday morning I went in and he kinda did surgery on it because he had to cut deep to remove the  whole thing. Sister M took pictures and I will send them all. I was numb for it thank goodness and had to get MY FIRST 4 STICHES. Guys I have never gotten stiches! It was awesome! But now it very painful and I have to wait 10 days to get them removed. So Sister M has been changing the bandages, washing my hair for me because the stiches can’t get wet so I can shave or wash under that arm for 10 days! It’s maddness but not much I can do but just smell on my right side. I have learned to do a lot with my left hand since it hurts my right side if I move it too much or lift it up too far. At first it was hard to shake hands with people so I would use my left hand and boy would that throw people off. it was funny! But hey the awesome adventures I get to have on the mission! It was cool. The pain isn’t cool but the scar will be and plus I won’t have hair grow in that area so less to shave for me! WOOT WOOT! As Sarah Fletcher would say BATTLE SCARS ARE THE BEST and make up a cool story how I got it!

Anyways. So that’s the gross stuff that happened. Overall the week has been awesome!

No it hasn’t snowed yet but lots of frost and it did get to 15 degrees yesterday! MAdness! It will be another adventure for me to live in the snow. SO MANY ADVENTURES!

Mom for Thanksgiving we are having it with the Eves family who son just left for a mission so it was be great! Anyways stay warm and have a super fantabuloic weeek! :)

Family

So this week has been amazing. K falls really is a miracle area. We have seen so many people progress. We have 5 people who could be baptized soon and are booming with lessons hourly and members being on top with fellowship. I feel so blessed to be here. It’s so nice when you work hard, busy, people are great, and you come home at night dead. It’s a great feelings. 

Every morning we get up at 6 to run 3 miles. I CAN RUN 3 MILES! I am working my way up there. Still got a ways for a marathon but one day I will run with the Fletcher clan when I get home and can train more. In the mean time it feels so great to run so much. It really does give us energy for the day and keeps us strong and healthy. 

We had a stake conference Saturday and Sunday. It was amazing! We had it broadcast and president Monson, Elder Christopherson, Sister Stevens and one other guy speak. It was so amazing. Something I learned from their talks were people can change president Monson said. People who fall away people who struggle can change and they need us to be there for support and help when they need it. I learned on a mission that love is key to all missionary work. We must love ourselves, love out companion, then love our teaching people and members. When we have love we are able to give hope to others. let them know there is a savior who has provide a way home back to God. It’s amazing how people will just light up when they see hope ahead in their journey. 

I love my mission so much for the things I have learned. I appreciate all the support I have back home and grateful that I have this opportunity to serve the lord for 18 months. I love you all so much and miss you tons. Hope you have a great week! :)

Can you believe we get to Skype in almost a month! CrazY! 

On Tuesday we had a Missionary leadership committee meeting with president! It was my first meeting since I am a new STL and it was a remarkable experience! We as missionaries get to help decide rules and work with president on major decisions for the mission. I love president Russell for how he runs this mission. He very much lets us missionaries have a say in things and also lets us make the choices of where the line is. He lays out the rules but he allows room for us to use our agency. It can be dangerous to do that but that’s where we got to make sure we are exactly obedient to everything we do and keep that trust we have with him. 

So awesome news! We get to Skype on Christmas for 90 minutes. 

Holidays are a lot more laid back too with P. Russell and I feel we get to do more things together with members and missionaries so it will be some awesome holidays here coming up. 

So anyways, the week has been super crazy! So Tuesday we had that leaders meeting, then Wednesday we had to plan on teaching what we learned as leaders to the zone. So we had to prep for that and include our teaching appointments. I testify that as we are obedient and have priorities by the spirit the lord will provide us the time to do all we need to do. We got all we could done and it was a miracle. We for sure did not do it alone. Plus we have a lot of sisters struggling with health problems and so this whole week we have been helping them out. Oh and that was also the wards trunk or treat chili cook off. You saw the pics of being the book of Mormon and the bible and we also got to be the chili judges. We had to taste 10 different chilis and it was awesome! So many good ones and others were just interesting! :) 

Thursday President came to our meeting and we and the zone leaders and AP's got to teach and it was a awesome meeting. That is one thing I will miss is how strong the spirit is in missionary meetings. There is nothing like it and it just is the best ever! 

Friday we had a crazy day too! We had to do our weekly planning, and it was Halloween so we had to be in by 6 pm after dinner. It was crazy! The zone leaders at night told the zone a scary story that was pretty legit. It was fuN! So overall we had a good Halloween having a party together in our apt.

Oh this is crazy! So i think last week i explained how we got locked out of our apt due to leaving the keys in the house and shutting the door by accident when it was locked... And how our neighbor who is spider man had to break in. 

Well silly Sister Fletcher forgot the keys were in her coat and didn’t take her coat that day and we got locked out again...... It was bad. First a sister tried to break in and a card and bobby pins were not working. So we called the ZL's and they tried and nothing....

So we went to our dinner APP and they had a small latter that might work to go in from the second floor window that was open. Well.... The elders were too short haha more the latter was too short so we called our neighbor spider man! He came to the rescue and helped us out. Remember that these guys are college guys.... So we asked him how much is was to rock climb at the gym he goes to us sisters thought about checking it out! Well Spider man totally asked us on a date and wanted to take me and my comp. We said there are 6 of us that want to go at a time to avoid awkwardness... Plus it was weird because the elders were right there with us hahaha I LOVE OREGON! 

Anyways the guy broke in and we were saved! So this happened Saturday and then yesterday was great! We had an awesome dinner app with some amazing members! So guess what they fed us and guess who requested this meal.....

SISTER FLETCHER REQUESTED TO HAVE SISTER OLSENS FISH!!!!!!!! 

Sister Olsen fed us the best White Cod fish and yes the one who despises sea food had this fish. and I had seconds too! I can explain how I love it but its the only fish now I will ever eat so if you want me to ever eat fish again you have to get sister Olsen's recipe and make it how she does. 

So life here is K Falls is great. No snow but it is 30 degrees outside some days and we are starting to get frost which means it might snow this week or the next we shall see.. pray for me about this snow thing. Sister Arizona don’t do snow.

I love sister McCleary tons! I am learning so much from her and we have a blast here. It was rough at first i must say with changing new ways of doing missionary work and new area and such. But She is amazing and I feel i am more humble and willing with her. I just am learning a lot and know there is still much for me to learn here with her.
