October 27, 2014 Klamath Falls, OR - ONE YEAR MARK!!!

SIDE NOTE:  It was so nice for Catherine to celebrate her year mark with Sister McCleary because they both were celebrating.  They were MTC companions and started their missions at the same time.  For friends not of our faith, usually when a missionary hits their year mark they burn something...tie, shirt...for Catherine and her companion they decided on leggings.  Read to see how that turned out!!!

Hey family,
I did get plenty of winter stuff from members and boots from ross for 25 bucks so all is well.
Being a Sister Leader Trainer is great. I love working with the sisters and helping them. Some are struggling and it’s been a blessing to be there for them and help them in this hard time.
Sister McCleary is great. I love working with her. We for sure have lived very different missions. Hers very strict and mine I guess not as strict. It’s been great though learning from her and seeing what I can take from her skills and apply them to myself.
We celebrated out year mark on Thursday! We tried to burn tights and boy was that a fail. We then tried a sock and I burned myself... I am fine. But nothing would really burn so we just used a star on a stick thing and that caught fire it was awesome!
We then got locked out of our apt last night... We had our neighbors who are all college students help us. One of them rock climbs and climbed up the front side of the house and tried to get through the window but it was locked. We then tried the back side. THIS GUY WAS SPIDER MAN! He just climbs up like it’s nothing with little help. He had to use a knife to cut the screen and then crawl in from the window. Kind of weird a guy was in our apt. but it was so needed and a huge help. We plan to make them cheese cake in thanks!
Then today we officially moved in. We have been living in our suitcases due to the bed bugs but we think we are good now and got our apt fixed up and looking good.
So Life is great here in K falls. I love every bit of it. Besides the Cold. Sister M is set that the reason I am in kfalls is so that I am prepared to one day live in UTAH. She will keep dreaming with that one. I love my AZ heat. But we will see what the future holds one day.
I love you tons so much! Sure hope your well.
Hey mom Sister M thinks she has celiac and she has no symptoms like you. How is that going for you? Any advice for her she is just worried because she was once told she had it but brushed it off but wants to be tested again. We got blood work done today and we will find out later if she does but anything that may help her?

Have a great week! LOVE YOU

Burning of the LEGGINGS

 No pics of the failure!

I'm assuming these pics were done after the burning failed and the hose was to douse the fire.

October 20, 2014 Klamath Falls, OR- Bed Bugs and Biggest Burger Ever!

October 20, 2014

Hey family,
So it hasn’t snowed yet. But high chance this week. Sister McCleary is taking me shopping today to find good boots. A member gave me a heavy duty coat which was nice so I am good on that.
What Sister Training Leaders do is work with the zone leaders and help missionaries in the zone.  We are mainly over the sisters though. We go on exchanges with them once a week. We work with 2 other sets of sisters. They are all wonderful and it’s so much fun to switch companions and see what we can learn from each other. The last exchange we went on was amazing! I learned how to love someone no matter their circumstance or struggles or flaws. We are to find the good in others and make the best of things. See the positive of the situation. :)
For Halloween, it’s on district meeting day and we want to get together with the zone leaders and the sisters will be elders for the meeting and they will be sisters. They are down with it but we aren’t sure if it will get approved. Fun idea though! It’s the thought that counts!
We are still struggling with bed bugs. We moved back into our apartment today and see if they are gone for good. We are slowly just bringing our sheets to sleep on and a few clothes. When you get bed bugs you have to wash everything that could have been contaminated. So to make sure we don’t have to wash everything again we are slowly making our way back home there. Got to love the adventures here!
Yesterday sadly I was super sick. I haven’t gotten this sick in a while but it happens. Let’s just say I don’t have much memory of what happened at church. After church I knew I wasn’t gonna be able to do lessons due to being so out of it and didn’t want to get others sick. We came back to the apartment and I pretty much passed out for 2 hours. I think I took about 10 pills last night kinda crazy but I woke up feeling a lot better. Still Ms. STUFFY but I am able to function which is a bonus!
Anways, so that is about it. I hit my year mark on Thursday and sister McCleary and I was to celebrate by burning leggings. We will see how it goes. I will take pics!
Well I love you tons! Over all life is good.!
OH we got to see Meet the Mormons on Friday after interviews with president. IT WAS SO COOL AND GOOD! Cool fact. They will be using that video as a teaching tool. President said they will divide the video clips up individually so we can use them to help others relate and learn more. The work of the Lord is Hastening its crazy! SO COOL!
LOVE AND MISS YOU!!

October 13, 2014  BED BEGS...OH MY!

Hey Family!
So yes it is supposed to snow in the next week so I really think I will die here! It’s crazy! Mom a thought came to mind. Instead of spending so much money on snow stuff when I probably won’t need it when I get home because I refuse to ever live in snow. Could you see if anyone in the ward that would have a heavy duty maybe cute if possible to lend me for just this winter? I may not even stay all of winter if I get transferred. And see if anyone who is a size 8 8 1/2 in shoes that would defeat the snow here? Let me know as soon as possible. K falls is kind of small town so not much here but we are going today to see if there is anything but let me know Asap is anyone would be willing to lend me winter gear just for a small amount of time. Thanks so much!
OH maybe include my one white winter coat. That would help but if not I will try and see what I can find here. I will need these things those ASAP due to October snow storms here!
Sister McCleary and I were thinking today about how when we got out calls to OR that everyone said, Oh it gets like only 80 and low 40 degrees and rains a ton!
LIES!!! It gets to the hundreds in Central point during the summer and snows here! Thanks for the prep guys! That’s okay though sister M is from Utah and knows how it’s done so I will strive.
I don’t my address at the moment but if you call the mission office they can look it up for you. I do ask though you and every family member to please not send letters to my direct address. Mail is getting lost and Transfers are crazy. Sarah probably sent her letters to my Eugene address and I won’t get those for a while now. Only send packages to my direct please. It just lessens the risk of me not getting it.
Mom I will read your journal entry and share next week about it! :) Thanks for letting us read it!
So K falls...
When I first got here we were not able to stay at our assigned apartment due to it being sprayed by chemicals to get rid of bed bugs.  We moved in on Tuesday though because they said it was taken care of...
On Wednesday night I was about to go to bed until I looked in my bed a found a dot moving. I looked closer and guess what...
The problem of bed bugs were still there. I looked at my sheets more and found 5 more...
I must say I was in shock. I heard about these bugs but never thought I would deal with this problem. We called the mission office and they told us we had to wash EVERYTHING!! So we put all of our stuff in bags and got a pair of pjs that were not infected. We then slept on the floor of the other sister missionaries’ apartment that night at 12 pm....
We then talked with some members and they told us of a bug guy that was a member of the LDS church and was #1 in the state to get rid of bed bugs. We told the office right then and got him over there the next day. The bug guy was not active in the church but when he talked with us he was hilarious and actually didn’t charge us for is service. He loved the feeling that was there and the uplifting quotes and pictures on the walls he felt the spirit. HOW COOL!! At least something came out of the bed bugs.

October 6, 2014 Klamath Falls, OR

October 6, 2014
Dear family,
I am being transferred... To a faraway land called Klamath Falls
Oregon. It's apparently snows there and I am serving there in the
winter.
Mom we may want to consider looking into some cheap snow boots. Wish
me luck. I will probably die.
It's hard to leave Sister Weinheimer due to us being the invincible
companionship but I know it will be good. I am companions with sister
McCearly. Does sound that familiar?? Well she was my MTC companion. It
will be a blast getting to serve with her again. I am excited.
Conference was an awesome experience. We watched it at the church, and
with a family, the Raney's. They are awesome. It was a blast watching
it. Such a great one. We had a family come to the church to watch it
with us. Their son who is 4ish was nagging me about listening and not
taking notes. He is so cute. They are one of my favorite families we
taught.
Anyways Thanks so much for everything everyone does for me. I
appreciate the support and love from each of you. Sorry this won't be
long but I am alive, still kicking, and going strong. Love you tons!
Love Sister Fletch
